A .in or .co.in address tells visitors and search engines that you serve India, which suits shops and local businesses. A .com is better known worldwide. Many businesses register both and point one at the other so nobody else can take the name.
Do I need hosting to register a domain?
No. You can register a domain on its own and add hosting later, or point it at a website hosted somewhere else by changing its nameservers.
How do I transfer my domain to Hostingdon.com?
