Build the hosting
industry doesn't want you to.
We're a small, distributed team of engineers, designers, and writers building infrastructure that customers genuinely thank us for. Remote-first since day one. Async by default. Profitable, slow-growing, and not for sale.
The kind of place where good engineers
stay for years.
Remote-first, properly
Not "remote-friendly with a HQ." Everyone is remote. Everyone has the same access, the same meetings, the same opportunities. No invisible favoritism toward the in-office crew.
Async by default
Most communication happens in writing. Expect 2 hours of meetings per week, max. Deep-work blocks are protected. Calendar transparency, no "do you have a sec" pings.
Real ownership
Engineers don't ship features that ops then has to support. Whoever builds it, runs it. On-call rotations are paid extra. PagerDuty wakes the right person every time.
No "rockstar" culture
We hire kind, curious people who write good code and good docs. Loud personalities and bro energy don't make it past the second interview.
Boring is a feature
We optimize for predictability and durability. We use proven tools (Postgres, Go, Nginx) over hot ones. Senior engineers love this. Resume-driven developers self-select out.
Customers, not users
Our customers pay for hosting. They're not the product. We optimize for retention, not engagement. You'll talk to real customers in your first week.
Compensation that respects
how hard you work.
Top of market, location-adjusted
90th-percentile pay benchmarked against Levels.fyi for your role and region. Salary bands published internally. Annual review with transparent rubric.
5 weeks PTO + 14 holidays
Plus a mandatory 2-week winter break (we close down). Plus paid sabbatical at year 4 and every 4 years after. Take vacation. Actually log off.
100% covered for you & dependents
Premium plans, low deductibles, full mental-health and dental/vision. We pay 100% for you, 95% for spouse and kids. Country-specific equivalents outside the US.
$3,500 home-office stipend
$3,500 to set up your office. Refreshes every 3 years. Coworking space stipend up to $400/month if home doesn't work for you.
16 weeks paid parental leave
For all parents — birth, adoption, surrogacy. Phased return-to-work. Plus a $2,000 annual childcare stipend until age 5.
$2,500/year learning budget
Conferences, courses, books, certifications — your call. Plus annual in-person team meetup somewhere lovely. Last one: Lisbon.
